Dream Pillow & Flower Eco-print Workshop Nov 26th

What it is:

Join us for two hours of learning and creating, crafting and concocting! Make a botanical art print on fabric, choose your own herb blend, and stitch your intentions into a dream pillow…

Dream pillows are small pillows filled with herbs that you can keep under your pillow (or wherever it brings you comfort). You can inhale the fragrance to bring calm and help you sleep, or to enhance dreaming and dream work.

We’ll create a flower print on fabric using the Japanese Hapa Zome technique of hammering fresh flowers to release their natural dye, creating an enchanting print. Then use that fabric to make our dream pillows!

We’ll chat about some herbs for sleep and dreaming. Folklore and magic, as well as more practical benefits and uses. You can take your time to choose the herbs that feel right for your pillow, and personalize it with a special stone or a bit of writing. Then we’ll stitch them up with embroidery floss (choose your colour), and you’ll leave with your own beautiful creation!

All the crafting portions will be fun and easy, and there will be plenty of instruction and help if you need it:) All ages welcome (under 10 needs to be with an adult). Bring a friend for a fun experience together ( and a little discount!)

The hosts:

Caitlin Vliet, the woman behind Bonobo Botanicals:)

I have been interested in plants, people, and how they interact for most of my life, and I’ve been studying it more seriously since 2016.

I started Bonobo Botanicals (a natural herbal products business) to share my creations.

I love to share the feeling of empowerment and pleasure in making our own natural wellness and self care products through hands on herbalism workshops. Helping you bring what you learn into your life.

Her passion for plant education lead her to complete a Diploma program with Wild Rose College. Along with learning how to grow these plant medicines too. You will find her in the garden!
