I’m Caitlin. Student of permaculture and herbal medicine and life.

I love the science and art and magic of working with plants. It feels so good and healthy and human to use herbs as we have since ancient times. I want to share the pleasure and wellness that comes with that through natural products, workshops, and supporting people in growing and making their own medicine.

When I was little, I loved to climb trees, eat wild berries, learn the names and stories of all the plants and animals and I brewed "potions" in play. Not much has changed… I am fascinated with the human experience, how our bodies work, and how herbs affect us.

As a teenager I spent hours reading a big wild herbal book that my Mom had, and I got really interested in wilderness survival. Since 2016 I have been studying more seriously. Three years with a local herbalist, several online courses, and lots of self study, as well as starting my own medicinal garden, harvesting, wildcrafting, and making my own concoctions before starting Bonobo Botanicals.

I use herbs that I grow or wildcraft, and herbs and other supplies that I source organically, and close to home as much as possible. I use packaging that can be reused or recycled. I believe the future could be delicious and happy and healthy. I want to contribute toward that goal.

I want our species to get back in touch with our place in the ecosystem. I want to help people feel their best. I believe that a good place to start is in getting to know ourselves and our surroundings. In going outside, in growing our own food and medicine. In finding health and joy in our habitat.
