Make your own delicious Hawthorn Elixir

~For the Heart~

Both Hawthorn and Rose have traditionally been used to support the heart, both physical and emotional, as well as the nervous system. They can help to nourish and strengthen, and bring a sense of safety, love, and wellbeing. When I take this tincture it feels like a hug for my heart. It feels nourishing, calming, and uplifting. I reach for it regularly, but especially if I’m feeling stressed, sad, or anxious. And I know I will turn to Hawthorn and Rose in this form or another in times of grief that are bound to arise through life.

The term Elixir has a few different definitions. The way I use it here means an herbal alcohol and honey extract. The process is simple, just pour brandy and honey over the herbs, let sit 4-6 weeks (shaking regularly), strain and bottle, and enjoy! You can substitute if you prefer a different alcohol or sweetener. There are more details with the kit:)

Everything you need to make it except the alcohol and honey. It’s a super easy process. Just 5 mins to get it started. This kit makes about 150 mls of elixir. And the best part is it tastes good too!
